Explained
I am called Morcalivan or Cali for short (don’t ask why, I don’t actually remember where it originally came from. It just is.). I shame Capricorns everywhere by being completely disorganized and flighty, but keeping all the regular goat bad qualities (prone to sulking, materialism, resistance to change, overly possessive, etc.).

Gaming
Being the huge geek that I am, I am very fond of playing computer games. At time of writing The Sims 2 owns my soul, but I have a couple of MMOs I sometimes play (Everquest 2, LOTRO, etc.)

I am also a fan of browser based online games such as Pox Nora, Dragon Fable and Neopets.

Writing
I can often be found writing. I am not particularly good at it and I have a tendency to not finish everything I start, but I still love to do it. Not so much the telling a story part, but I live for creating characters. Which is also why I role played a lot in my younger day (not so much now cause good ones are hard to come by and I am so incredibly picky it’s not even funny).

Every year I take part in NaNoWriMo. This will be my 5th time participating and hopefully my 4th win. I am the Gauteng Municipal Liaison for 2 years running.
2003 – I wrote ‘Fade to Black’, about a gargoyle who is betrayed by a demon, locked in a cave for many years and ultimately gets to live happily ever after with an elf 1/3rd his size.
2005 – I started an untitled story about a half elf who falls in with bad people and basically goes into slavery. Didn’t finish.
2006 – I wrote “Ami’Lyricu”, a fantasy story about a dark elf and his quest to just be a lazy bum his entire life.
2007 – I wrote something I can’t remember the title of, which was the afterlife as seen through the eyes of a sidekick.
2008 – I am writing “A Very Watery Ocean”, which is gang warfare meets dark fantasy meets crazy stupid obsessive love

When NaNo is over, I get ready for Scriptfrenzy, of which I have also been the Municipal Liaison for 2 years running. Much smaller group, though.
2007 – I wrote “Hinterland”, a script for a werewolf movie that had the wolfboy as the main protagonist
2008 – I wrote… something. Something I never finished and don’t even remember.

Collectables
Sometimes I like to collect pretty things. This year’s obsession was Asian Ball-Joint Dolls of which I bought 2, both modeled after the leading actors of my favorite TV show. They are still mostly in process of getting painted (I am not terribly talented, so it is taking a while).
